TCGI designed and developed a unique, strategic EMS for Regions 3 and 4 of the U.S. Forest Service.  The product was unique EMS, designed to suit the needs of the Regions and the forests within the Regions, in implementing a strategic EMS that would operate, in the first instance, at the forest level.  The goals of this effort are to:

Meet the requirements of the Planning Rule and Executive Order on EMS;

Provide the framework of a second-party auditable EMS for the Regions that operates at strategic forest level, with design features sufficiently flexible to aid broadening of the EMS in subsequent cycles to operational level; and

To minimize impact on staff while maximizing beneficial impact of the EMS.
